Biography:
Dr. Grant has been an Assistant Professor at Alfred University since 2022. He began serving as the Director of the School Psychology MA/CAS and Psy.D programs at Alfred University in the Fall of 2025. He also has consulted with various publishers of well-known intelligence and academic tests used in school and clinical settings, including Western Psychological Services and Riverside Insights.
Regarding leadership activities, Dr. Grant is the Co-Chair of the Society for the Study of School Psychology’s (SSSP) Early Career Forum, the Social Justice Coordinator of the National Association of School Psychologists’ (NASP) Early Career Committee, and a co-host of the NASP Black Men in School Psychology Podcast.
Furthermore, Dr. Grant is currently Chair of the writing group tasked with revising a NASP official policy document centering on how the field should address prejudice, discrimination, and racism.
Regarding scholarship, Dr. Grant’s research interests include: 1) recruitment and retention of racially and ethnically minoritized school psychologists, 2) promoting critical self-reflection practices among school psychologists, 3) the impact of racism on students of color in academic settings.
Geremy Grant receives a speaker’s honorarium from APP for this presentation. There is no conflict of interest or commercial support to report.
