DESCRIPTION:Workshop Level: All levels\nProgram Description: Artificial Intelligence (AI) has tantalized practitioners with the feats it can accomplish. However, there are many forms of AI with each having their strengths and weaknesses. This workshop will provide an overview of AI and how various platforms can be utilized in practice including prompting effectively, general office work, generating interventions, writing reports, and being used in the assessment process. In addition, the ethics to consider when utilizing AI will be reviewed.\nLearning Objectives: After attending this workshop, it is expected that participants be able to:\n\nIdentify at least three different AI tools that can help them with organization and describe how they can help them.\nIdentify ethical issues that they need to consider as they select AI to use in their work.\nIdentify two different approaches to prompt AI effectively.\n\nAbout the Presenter: Dr. Dan Florell is a Professor at Eastern Kentucky University and he runs a private practice. He trained school psychologists in a graduate program for 20 years. Dr. Florell has a Ph.D. in School Psychology from Illinois State University. He is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), licensed psychologist, and APA Fellow of Division 16.
